Española Valley High School opened its doors in the fall of 1975, as the
students from Española High School and Santa Cruz were combined. The
first graduating class at Española Valley High School graduated over 400
students. Española Valley High School initially housed only 10th thru 12th. Grade. In 1978, Española Valley High School added the 9th. Grade.
